Our Team
From California, USA to Busia County, Kenya, we are a team of many working together to feed children in need. These are some of the people that help bring your support and donations to action.
The Odouri's
The work of Samuel's Kitchen wouldn't be possible without the foundation of (from left) Silas, Evangeline, and Samuel's support and love for their community. They have spent their lives providing opportunities for work, wages, and food to all of Busia County. Since Samuel's passing in 2022, Silas has taken on the leadership role, caring for youth who are lacking in necessities, and thus, creating Samuels Kitchen-- a farm and kitchen to serve the children of the village.
The Kitchen Crew
This is the team on site ensuring nutritious, filling lunches for the children. From left is Topista, Naim, Justus, Justus, Fedinard and Sande. Topista, Silas's wife, is the matron of the kitchen, making sure things are running smoothly to get the kids in and out between school sessions.
Charity Founders
Galen and Marguerite have known Silas and his family for many years, and understand the love and care they have shown their community. It's through Silas that they have learned to love Kenya and its people, and have a desire to help in any way.
Additional Board Members
CJ, left, is a long-time friend of our founders as well as Silas. She has traveled to Kenya with Marguerite and Galen throughout the years and has developed a great love the community. LeAnn, right, is our secretary, and after hearing of her family's travels to visit Silas and Samuel, wanted to assist them in their endeavor.
