SAMUEL'S KITCHEN

This quote explains Samuel, a pillar of the community of Busia County. He knew that the local children weren't getting even a primary education because they didn't have a lunch to sustain them. Samuel tried to help whenever he could, but there was never enough money to help everyone in need.

In his memory, Samuel's Kitchen and Learning, a 501c3 non-profit was created. A kitchen, dining hall, and office have been built. Crops have been planted and harvested. A water well was drilled.

Children from local schools are now able to come for lunch, then go back to the classrooms with the energy needed for the afternoon. Meeting the needs of the community, we support grades 1-5 with lunch, and aim to later provide assistance to further their education, as access is not free.
